Your Well Being Our True North

About Us

Your Well Being. Our True North.

About Us

At True North Physical Therapy, our mission is simple: to deliver exceptional, personalized care that helps you live a healthy, active life—without limits.

Our founder began her career in New York, gaining hands-on experience in hospital and rehabilitation settings for two years. She then spent six years as a lead physical therapist in outpatient clinics across New Jersey, helping patients recover, rebuild strength, and regain confidence in their movement. With a passion for more individualized care, she launched her own home-based physical therapy practice before opening her first outpatient clinic in New Jersey.

In 2021, she moved to Texas with her family and continued serving patients in an outpatient setting before establishing True North Physical Therapy.

True North was built on a clear vision: to provide high-quality, one-on-one care in a welcoming, non-corporate environment where patients are treated like people—not numbers. Today, we proudly serve the McKinney community through our outpatient clinic and offer convenient home-based physical therapy services to meet you where you are.

Your recovery. Your goals. Your True North.

Meet Nematullah Lokhandwala, PT

With over 16 years of hands-on clinical experience, Nematullah Lokhandwala is dedicated to helping patients move better, feel stronger, and live pain-free. She brings advanced training in the McKenzie Method (Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy) and specializes in pelvic floor rehabilitation, providing evidence-based care tailored to each individual’s needs.

Throughout her career, Nematullah has worked across a wide range of settings, including hospitals, sub-acute rehabilitation, outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities, and home health. This diverse background allows her to confidently treat patients of all ages and conditions. She also provides Early Intervention services, supporting children with developmental delays and partnering closely with families to help each child reach their full potential. In addition, she serves as a clinical educator, mentoring and guiding future physical therapists.

Her passion for physical therapy is deeply personal. After helping her father recover from a stroke and navigating her own recovery following lumbar surgery, Nematullah experienced firsthand the life-changing impact of skilled, compassionate care. These experiences continue to shape her patient-centered approach.

Known for her dedication and individualized treatment plans, Nematullah takes the time to educate her patients and design customized home exercise programs that support long-term success. Her goal is not only to relieve pain, but to empower every patient to confidently return to an active, healthy lifestyle.
